The term “launch window” is a familiar term, which is a direct result of the mass of the spacecraft and the launch vehicle. The launch window is the particular time to launch on a particular day to ensure that the energy produced by the launch vehicle meets or exceeds the energy requirement to get the particular spacecraft to the particular target body.
