Dark Energy is supposedly accelerating the expansion of the Universe. Since it fills about 70% of space, it appears to me that it would push back on the opposite side of a given object with with equal force and thus nullifying the initial push. I am aware of the analogy of raisins in dough but that does not satisfy my curiosity. No one has ever explained this to my satisfaction. Is it possible that some other cause is the reason for the acceleration? Joe L. Ogan
